WHAT IS COLD FOIL PRINTING?

Also, known as cold foil stamping, is a modern method of printing metallic foil on a substrate in order to enhance the aesthetic of the final product.  Cold foil printing can be done in two ways:  the older dry lamination process common in the offset printing industry, or the newer, more versatile wet lamination process, which is dominant in the flexo label industry.  Polypropylene (PP), also know as polypropene, is a thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications including packaging and labeling.  An addition polymer made from the monomer propylene, it is rugged and unusually resistant to many chemical solvents, bases, and acids.  In 2013, the global market for polypropylene had a volume of about 55 million.
